6:40 AM – A Rushed Morning Start
This morning started in a hurry—I overslept and woke up at 6:40 AM! With little time to spare, I rushed to the kitchen to prepare bento lunches. One of today’s highlights was onigiri with shio kombu, a uniquely Hokkaido ingredient that adds an umami-rich taste. Despite the rush, I managed to send my family off on time.

9:00 AM – Study and Blog Planning
Once the house was quiet, I dedicated my morning to studying and planning blog content. Today, I focused on SEO strategies and content planning.
1:00 PM – Zoom Career Seminar
In the afternoon, I attended a three-hour Zoom career seminar, where I learned valuable insights about career development, job market trends, and skill-building for the future. The session was packed with practical advice, making the long hours well worth it.
6:00 PM – Cram School for the Kids
With exams approaching, my kids headed to cram school from 6 PM to 9 PM. The Hokkaido high school entrance exam system is quite demanding, requiring students to start preparing well in advance. This is one of the reasons why cram schools play such a crucial role in Japanese education.
7:00 PM – A Dinner Full of Hokkaido Flavors
For dinner, we enjoyed aji (horse mackerel) sushi and grilled shishamo, both Hokkaido specialties. The meal was simple but incredibly satisfying, highlighting the fresh seafood that this region is known for.
10:00 PM – Preparing for Tomorrow
Since I have a full day of standing work tomorrow, I made sure to get some rest early. Hopefully, I’ll wake up on time this time!
